Er...Why lad?Every year we try to raise as much money as we can for a worthy cause by running a charity event and this year we will be playing NON STOP 5 a side football for 24 hours to raise money for Ben Jones, an amazing young man and also for a defibrillator for our club.
Ben Jones is our youngest supporter who has a very rare syndrome - 22q13 deletion or Phelan-McDermid Syndrome. For more information about Ben please visit http://www.bensbuggyruns.com/ ![]() In truth a lot of us had likely never heard of Sudden Adult Death Syndrome - SADS- before the very well publicized collapse of Bolton player Fabrice Muamba in 2011. His collapse that day highlighted the dangers that undiagnosed heart conditions can pose to athletes at all levels of their respective game. It also showed just how valuable a pitchside defibrillator can be to save lives. It is undisputed by experts that having a pitch side defibrillator helped to save his life that day. Our aim is to provide our club with a Defbrillator so that if the unthinkable did happen we could possibly save a life. Sounds Amazing. Can I help?Absolutely, we would love you to. You can either -
We know times are tough and money is tight so all we are asking for is a £1. If you can give more then that's wonderful but every pound moves us closer to our goal.
